The highly popular Aston Martin DB11 coupe featuring a ‘floating roof’ design welcomes a new convertible model dubbed as the Aston Martin DB11 Volante. It was first spied in the start of this year.
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developing 503 horsepower and 513 lb.-ft of torque. It weighs 4,134 pounds, making the DB11 Volante 250 pounds heavier than its coupe sibling. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission allowing the Volante to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 300 km/h. Due to increased weight, the DB11 Volante is 0.1 second slower than the DB11 coupe.
Regarding the fabric roof, the automaker mentions it is an eight-layer design, which folds to a class-leading stack height. It takes total 14 seconds for the roof to lower and 16 to close. Compared to the DB9 Volante, the new roof design improves the trunk space by 20 percent.
The 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante will start from $216,495, and the deliveries in the United States will begin sometime in 2018.
We cannot confirm at the moment when it will arrive in the Middle East.
