The Japanese automaker has confirmed that the 2018 Subaru BRZ STI will be debuting next month at the Tokyo Motor Show alongside another sporty sedan concept.
Unfortunately, the BRZ STI will be launched as a limited edition model with production limited to just 100 examples and it might only be sold in Japan. Moreover, purchasing a Subaru BRZ STI Sport won’t be easy, as the automaker will organize a lottery to randomly select those who could buy the sports car.
Regarding the design, all the 2018 BRZ STI Sport models will be painted in a special cool grey khaki color. New alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna and a rear-wing have been installed as well. The side-view mirrors feature a dark black color, which further enhance the overall persona of the sports car.
Under the hood, the Subaru BRZ STI Sport will most likely carry a 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine developing up to 325 horsepower. According to Subaru, the BRZ STI Sport will offer a “fun to drive” and “pure handling delight” experience. Other tweaks include suspension upgrades and improved body rigidity.
More details will be uncovered when the Subaru BRZ STI Sport arrives at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
