The Porsche Mission E All-Electric sports sedan, which was first introduced back in 2015, is finally hitting the assembly lines. Reports indicate it will go on sale by the end of 2019 and will be priced around $85,000.

Similar to the Porsche Panamera, the Mission E electric sedan will also be offered in three trim-levels including Base, S and GTS. Talking to ‘Carmagazine.co.uk’, the CEO of Porsche, Oliver Blume stated that the Mission E will be available with multiple power outputs. Its all-electric powertrain will boast 600 horsepower allowing the sports sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. The electric range will be 310 miles.

The Mission E will also extend a 350-kW fast-charging system that will be capable of charging 80 percent battery in just 15 minutes. The battery is mounted as low as possible to improve the car’s center of gravity.

Regarding the design, Blume mentioned that the Mission E will resemble the prototype we saw in 2015, however a few elements would be updated. On the inside, it is expected to use hologram technology and gesture controls. We might soon get to see the prototype models being tested on the road.
