Last year, the Italian automaker revealed the one-off Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta to celebrate the brand’s 70th anniversary. The production was limited to just 209 units, and we recently got to know that one of them is heading to auction for charity. It made it official debut at the Paris Auto Show last year.
This particular model features a gorgeous one-off livery in metallic Rosso Fuoco body along with double racing stripes stretching from the front hood to the rear deck. The interior boasts black Alcantara seats combined with red stitching and red leather accents.
Under the hood, the exclusive Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta carries a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine assisted by electric motors and mated to a seven-speed transmission. The same engine is also found in the LaFerrari Coupe that generates a mighty 950 bhp. The power will allow the LaFerrari Aperta to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in less than 3.0 seconds.
The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta will be on auction on September 9th during the Leggenda E Passione. Reports indicate the estimated selling price will be between $3.5 million and $4.7 million. The final LaFerrari Coupe which was auctioned in December 2016 raised $5.17 million, thus considering the exclusivity of the LaFerrari Aperta, we expect it to sell for a much higher price.
The amount collected will be donated to “Save the Children Education Program”.
