Bentley is making some changes to its Continental lineup. For the first time, we have received the spy shots of the new Bentley Flying Spur wearing a heavy disguise.
On the first glance, we noticed that the new Bentley Flying Spur is a little longer and more lustrous than the current model. Up front, the headlights resemble somewhat the ones we saw in the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. At the back, the taillights are much taller now, while the exhaust pipe takes an oval shape similar to the Continental GT. However, the trunk lid is almost identical to the current model.
Underpinning the new Bentley Flying Spur will be a Volkswagen’s group MSB platform that makes use of high-strength steel and aluminum to reduce the overall weight and improve rigidity.
Powering the upcoming Bentley Flying Spur will most likely be the redeveloped 6.0L W12 engine that is found in the new Continental GT. This engine delivers 626 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft of torque. Bentley says all of its cars will feature a plug-in hybrid model as well.
Expect additional features such as LED matrix light, upgraded infotainment display, a new three-chamber suspension system and more in the new Flying Spur.
