The new Cadillac XT5 Hybrid model was recently displayed by the automaker at the Chengdu Auto Show. Though, the automaker didn’t tell anything about the powertrain, but did mention that the new XT5 will be equipped with electric motors and the GM’s latest 9-speed automatic transmission system.

The duo of the mild hybrid system and the enhanced transmission system would not only render a powerful drive, but will also ensure fuel efficiency. The official word suggests the fuel economy is impressive 29.77 miles per gallon (7.9 liters/100 kilometers). The XT5 Hybrid also features a start/stop system as well as an extra gear for improved acceleration during jam-packed traffic situation.

On the inside, the new Cadillac XT5 Hybrid encompasses the latest Cadillac infotainment system along with apps like NetEase Cloud Music, Kaola FM and more.

In addition, the new Cadillac XT5 will also come with standard tenth generation OnStar system with 22 intelligent services and five years of subscription for the base version, which includes Vehicle Diagnostics, Dealer Maintenance Notification, Automatic Crash Response, Remote Vehicle Data Update, and Remote Vehicle Control.

The 2017 Cadillac XT5, first launched in November 2015 here, starts at AED 167,090 in the UAE, however we are not sure about the pricing of the new hybrid model. Also, it is currently unclear whether Cadillac will launch the new XT5 Hybrid in the Middle East.
