Toyota has just decided to give more reasons to its fans than just praising them for the popular ‘Supra’ sports car. The automaker plans to unveil new Toyota Sports Car lineup in Japan next month.
The report comes from Automotive News, which furthers states, the Toyota Sports Car lineup will somewhat resemble the Lexus F Series and will also add performance packages for regular cars including the Toyota Corolla and the Camry.
However, as most of the Toyota-built sports cars are not sold outside Japan, we believe the new Sports car series won’t be available in the international markets as well.
Toyota has also been working on other sports cars in the lineup. Recently, at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show, the automaker revealed a supercharged GRMN model of its Yaris subcompact. The new Toyota Supra is also in works and will most likely debut sometime in 2018. The new Supra is being built in collaboration with BMW alongside the Z4 Roadster. Both the sports cars will be sharing most of the components including the powertrain.
As for the new Toyota Sports car lineup, the information is scarce right now. More details will be uncovered in September.
