Lamborghini is cooking up a number of Huracan variants in its factories and one of them is expected to be the Huracan Safari offering impressive off-road performance. The Huracan Performante Spyder is also in the pipeline.
A report from Automobile Magazine indicates that the Lamborghini Huracan Safari will be equipped with height-adjustable suspension, four-wheel steering system, an all-wheel drive and large plastic wheel arches. Moreover, it will be available in both coupe and roadster models, both capable of driving on all sorts of terrains.
The report further mentions about other Lamborghini Huracan variants in development including a Speedster, Barchetta, high-performance SV and the hardcore GT3 Stradale. The replacement model for the Aventador may have a robust 1,000 horsepower engine. The automaker considered using a twin-turbo V12 engine with 800 horsepower, but might opt for a naturally-aspirated V12 unit paired with two electric motors. The combined system will generate a mighty 1,000 horsepower and 885 lb.-ft of torque. It is expected to arrive sometime in 2020.
The new Huracan model should arrive by 2021 with a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine generating up to 650 horsepower. The range-topping versions would be capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 220 mph.
Expect the Lamborghini to introduce one or more Huracan variants at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
