The 2018 Volvo S60 Polestar and V60 Polestar are finally here with a number of impressive upgrades. The production will be limited to only 1,500 units combined. If you remember the production of S60 Polestar was first started in 2014.
Although it remains unclear why both S60 Polestar and V60 Polestar will be built in limited numbers, rumors suggest the automaker might shut down the production of the two models and replace them with new cars.
Talking about the upgrades, both 2018 Volvo S60 Polestar and V60 Polestar boast a new aerodynamic package that is developed in collaboration with Polestar’s motorsports partner, Cyan Racing promising a 30 percent increase in the downforce. It features a new front splitter, side skirts and a rear spoiler, all made from light-weight carbon fiber. The increase in downforce will improve the stability and handling on high speeds.
The new styling cues include shiny black wheels and carbon fiber side view mirror caps. The engine remains the same 2.0L twin-turbo in-line four cylinder spitting out 367 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. This engine will allow the S60 Polestar to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, whereas the V60 Polestar will take 4.8 seconds to complete the said distance.
Pricing details are currently unknown.
