On Thursday, Porsche released the teaser sketch of its upcoming 2018 Porsche Cayenne SUV and even though the debut was scheduled for 29th August, some folks have leaked the SUV’s images in its full glory without any camouflage. Here’s our take on these images:
Seeing it from the front, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne looks similar to the 2017 model with a few minor changes such as a slightly larger grille. On the side, sharp character lines flow all the way from the hood to the rear deck, while the sloping roof line adds to the overall dynamic persona of the SUV. The rear profile has been revised as well featuring a spoiler and dual rectangular exhaust tips.
On the inside, the center infotainment display has been enlarged while the control layout has been simplified. The beige leather seats further enhance the overall luxurious feel of the 2018 Porsche Cayenne.
Powering the 2018 Cayenne will most likely be a V6 or a V8 engine with the possibility of a hybrid model later joining the lineup. However, reports regarding a diesel-powered Cayenne are currently unconfirmed. Underpinning the SUV will be the Volkswagen MLB platform which is also adopted by the 2017 Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga, and the 2018 Audi Q5.
Rest of the details will be revealed as the 2018 Porsche Cayenne makes its debut on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
