The Dubai police e-game dubbed as “Friends of the Police” will be launching as a smartphone application aimed at spreading awareness about protecting society from possible dangers.
The head of the awareness section at the anti-crime department, Sheikha Al Abdouli, stated that the e-game will be used to educate the masses about crime where players can join their friends to catch a criminal.
Players will be quizzed throughout the game on their knowledge of the traffic rules and regulations. The more they obey these rules, the more points they will score. Of course, the highest scorer will win, and would get prizes, participation certificates and even a visit to the Dubai Police Department.
Being the first of its kind, Friends of the Police aspires to educate the youth and forge a link between the police and community. Additionally, this game will provide players with information about police patrols and how to follow the rules.
The Dubai police e-game was approved by the assistant commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri.
