Henry Fisker has long been working on his upcoming e-Motion electric car and finally, they announced the launch date. The all-electric sedan will debut next year in Las Vegas during the 2018 Consumer Electronic Show.
Talking to The Street, Henry Fisker himself confirmed the debut date of the e-Motion electric car and also mentioned that some of the EMotion’s next generation technology will be on display as well. The electric car won’t go on sale till 2019, but the automaker has already initiated taking pre-orders with $2,000 deposit.
Some of the key characteristics of the e-Motion electric car include a 400+ miles range, quick re-charging (125 miles in 9 minutes) and LIDAR autonomous technology. Design-wise, the e-Motion electric car boasts a futuristic profile with butterfly doors and the body made of carbon fiber and aluminum materials to keep the overall weight low.
Powering the e-Motion will be two-electric motors and lithium-ion batteries provided by LG Chem. The starting price of the all-electric sedan will be $129,000, but Henry Fisker is also working on a more affordable model, which will cost around $34,000. Expect that to arrive sometime in 2020.
In comparison, Tesla’s most affordable electric car starts at $35,000.
