The speed limit on Al Fayah-Seih Shaib road has been curtailed to 80 Km/h to prevent accidents and achieve a smoother traffic flow. The previous limit was 100 Km/h. The new speed limit on Al Fayah-Seih Shaib will take into effect from September 1.

In a recent study conducted by the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate, the first half of 2017 has seen an increase in the number road accidents. Authorities have also found an increase in the number of light vehicles on this road (which is primarily intended for heavy vehicles) resulting in intense car accidents.

On Friday, August 18th, the Abu Dhabi traffic police made the announcement on their Instagram account for both light and heavy vehicles. This reduced speed limit will help ensure a smooth flow of traffic and a decrease in road accidents on Al Fayah-Seih Shaib road.

The police has advised motorists to obey the new speed limit and follow traffic rules and regulations for their safety.

Previously, the Umm Al Quwain Police had cut down the speed limit on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road from 100km/h to 80km/h.
