The new 2018 Hyundai Sonata has finally arrived in the Middle Eastern markets boasting a number of impressive enhancements and upgrades including a new engine option.

Starting with the design, the 2018 Sonata sports the new ‘Cascading Grille’ on the front fascia along with LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. The rear has been redesigned as well with a sporty bumper and LED taillights. The alloy wheels along with the low profile radiator grille give a bold persona to the 2018 Hyundai Sonata.

On the inside, the center stack and the instrument panel have been visually optimized. The cockpit includes a new sporty three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls. Welcome the new convenience features including the remote engine starter with smart key, wireless charging and an optional seven-inch display with Apple CarPlay integration. On the safety front, the 2018 Sonata comes equipped with blind spot alert, rear-cross traffic alert, parking assist, rear-view camera and more.

In the powertrain department, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata offers four engine choices; 2.0L, 2.4L MPI, 2.4 GDI and range-topping 2.0L turbocharged unit. The turbocharged engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission delivering 245 PS. The rest of the engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The automaker has also refined the 2018 Sonata’s suspension system as well as the chassis for a better performance.
