A month back we saw spy shots of the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage testing at Nurburgring. These photos were clicked by a YouTuber, ‘Supercarsfromeu’ who showed a new camouflaged V8 Vantage, which looked a lot like a shortened version of the Aston Martin DB11. Now, the automaker has officially released teaser images of the new coupe confirming that the V8 Vantage will be debuting soon.
Powering the Aston Martin V8 Vantage will be a 4.0L turbocharged AMG-Sourced V8 engine, also found in the DB 11 V8, that debuted recently. This V8 engine in the DB11 generates 503 horsepower and 513 lb-ft of torque, however reports indicate the power output in the V8 Vantage will be higher. The transmission will either be a ZF eight-speed automatic or a manual transmission system.
Talking about the design, the teaser photos show most of the elements camouflaged, but we can still figure out the shape of the coupe. The rear diffuser and the exhaust tips are visible without any covering.
The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage is expected to debut this year according to Andy Palmer. The V12 Vantage will also join the lineup later with a more powerful 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine.
