Cars are feeling the heat of UAE as we have witnessed another vehicle catching fire. The recent incident which you can see in the video happened in Umm Al Quwain where a parked car suddenly went up in flames. The reasons for this fire are unknown yet, but definitely a fuel or oil leak is the main reason behind cars catching fire.
This incident marks the 7th vehicle catching fire in a 2-months period. Col Hassan Ali Mohammed bin Sarm, director of the UAQ civil defense department notified us that they received the news about this incident on Etihad Road in Hadath around 10:30 am and responded quickly with traffic police, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams reaching at the scene and putting out the fire saving the properties of people and precious lives.
Another incident happened in Umm Al Thawb industrial area a few days back, where a heavy truck broke into flames after it experienced a roll over due to the loss of control. Moreover, a vehicle was completely burnt inside a house at the Salma residential area due to heat. In total, we had 7 incidents of cars catching fire, which calls for regular maintenance of vehicles in summer, especially look for fuel and oil leaks before you went out.
