Thanks to the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) safety campaign in collaboration with Castrol, parents of a newborn are getting free child car seats in some hospitals of Dubai. The child car seats have been made mandatory for kids under the age of four years in the new UAE traffic rules.

Not many motorists are aware of the free child car seats, this is the reason the program has been extended to the realms of internet where parents need to forward a latest pic of their newborn along with their vehicle on their social media accounts putting a tag #MagnatecLove2Protect.

Deema Hussein, traffic awareness senior manager at the RTA said, “The new amended traffic laws and regulation have now made it mandatory to use proper car seats for infants under four years of age. This comes on the back of growing trends by residents who seem to be unaware about the dangers of having infants in cars without proper car seats.”

Hussein also told that they are working hard to make UAE roads safer for all the road users and this campaign is just a part of this endeavor.

Parul Sikka, marketing director at Castrol Middle East stated, “Through this initiative with the RTA, we are participating in this circle of care and protection … for the occupants of the car, particularly the little ones.”
