It’s not a racing clip where vehicles are trying to overtake each other to reach at the winning line first. It’s all about putting people’s lives at risk to save a few second’s driving time.
The traffic laws are also improving in Saudi Arabia alongside in other GCC countries like UAE to curb road accidents and bring down the mortality rate. To make this an example for other careless drivers, Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Asir Region has deported the two lorry drivers.
Saudi citizens have welcomed this action and hoped that this penalty will deter other drivers to indulge in dangerous driving.
Al Marsad news site reported that the two lorry drivers were deported on account of careless driving, non-compliance with the rules and putting people’s lives at danger. After the incident got viral on social media, the two lorry drivers were caught and their vehicles were seized.
