The 2018 Honda Accord has just been revealed and it seems like the Japanese automaker has completely redesigned the sedan and even installed a new turbo engine. We did inform our audience about it last month.
Talking about the size, the 2018 Honda Accord comes with the same dimensions as the outgoing model, however the wheelbase length has been increased by a few inches. The width of the 2018 Accord has also been increased by 0.39 inches. Moreover, the automaker claims that the interior space has been enlarged and the legroom in the backseat has been expanded by 1.9 inches. The cargo space has been enlarged from 15.8 cubic feet to 17 cubic feet.
The 2018 Honda Accord will be available with two engine options. The base unit is a 1.5L turbocharged producing 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The second available is the 2.0L turbo unit generating 252 HP and 273 pound-feet of torque. It is the same engine also found in the Civic Type R. A hybrid model with an Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter four-cylinder/dual-electric-motor system will also be a part of the lineup. It will be the first ever front-wheel drive car to be equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission system.
The new Accord will also extend an array of latest high-tech features such as 12-way power adjustable seats, a new 7-inch TFT display on the instrument panel and an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Expect it to arrive at the dealerships in the UAE soon.
