The wild Zarooq SandRacer 500GT was first showcased in concept form in 2015 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and now we have learnt that it has finally entered production.

Originally, the Zarooq SandRacer 500GT was fitted with a 3.5L V-6 engine, but that was not powerful enough, therefore the automaker will replace it with a robust 6.2L V8 engine generating 525 hp and 487 pounds-feet of torque.

Zarooq Motors, which is a UAE based automaker, claims that the SandRacer 500GT is a supercar of offroad terrains, since it will be capable of conquering any sort of off-road landscape. The top speed is 137 mph, and all this force is delivered to the rear-wheels via five-speed sequential manual gearbox. The overall weight of the car will be just 1,300 kilograms.

The body kit of the Zarooq SandRacer was designed by the German car modification brand, Masonry. On the inside, it will sport luxury leather seats, a digital dashboard, climate control and an infotainment display. The SandRacer’s chassis, which includes a built-in roll cage, was developed by Campos. Moreover, it boasts an Intrax racing suspension system with 18 inches of travel in case you plan to perform airborne stunts as well.

The automaker will build only 35 units of the Zarooq SandRacer 500GT each carrying a price tag of $450,000.
