The all-new Subaru Impreza is scheduled to debut at the 67th Frankfurt International Motor Show, which will be held on 12th September, however, the automaker couldn’t wait and thought its best to reveal the car ahead of its official premier.
The new Subaru Impreza rides on the newly developed Subaru Global Platform, boasting a lower ground clearance compared to the outgoing model. Subaru claims the lowered height improves handling and maneuverability. Moreover, the steering response has been upgraded.
The automaker has not unveiled the powertrain details, but reports suggest the all-new Subaru Impreza will carry an upgraded version of the 1.6L engine found in the current model. More engine options are also expected to be added later.
The exterior design of the new Subaru Impreza has also been revised to match the design profile of other performance models such as the Subaru BRZ and the WRX STI. The interior features a latest infotainment system.
Also, the all-new Subaru Impreza boasts advanced safety features including the Eyesight advanced driver assist technology along with other equipment such as emergency automatic braking and adaptive cruise control.
Details regarding performance specs and pricing will be disclosed in September.
