The facelifted 2018 Maserati Gran Turismo has debuted in the United States during a private event held in New York packing some serious upgrades.
Talking about the exterior, the 2018 Maserati Gran Turismo features a new grille design that looks similar to the Alfieri Concept car displayed at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show. Along with the revised grille, extra air ducts have been added as well, which improve the overall distribution. The aerodynamic drag has also been reduced from 0.33 to 0.32.
On the inside, it includes a new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The center console has been redesigned as well and renders an aluminum rotary dial knob, which is used to control the infotainment system. The positioning of the car driving mode buttons has been updated too. Moreover, the interior includes a spectacular Harman Kardon sound system.
The 2018 Maserati Gran Turismo will be available in two variants namely Sport and MC. Both the grades are powered by a 4.7L V8 engine by Ferrari. The engine delivers 460 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft of torque paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Sport model is good enough to reach 62 mph in 4.8 seconds, while the MC variant can hit the 62 mph in 4.7 seconds.
The pricing details have not been announced yet.
