The Aston Martin’s most anticipated hypercar, Valkyrie is under development. We do receive some fresh information regarding it after every few months. So, here’s the latest. The news reveals that the Aston Martin Valkyrie will churn out a mighty 1,130 horsepower.
It will be powered by a 6.5L V12 engine built by Cosworth, paired with a hybrid system developed by Rimac. Power will be delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed transmission system by Ricardo. The overall weight of the car is expected to be around 1,030 kilograms (2,270 lbs) and it will have a better power-to-weight ratio compared to the Mercedes-AMG Project One.
The interior of the Valkyrie will be compact featuring a removable race-oriented steering wheel and a lot of digital displays. Moreover, the automaker has also teamed up with Chief Technical Officer of Red Bull Racing, Adrian Newey to work on the Valkyrie’s aerodynamics to ensure a smooth performance especially around the corners.
The best part about the hypercar is that Aston Martin claims it will be street-legal everywhere it would sell. A track-only version will also be introduced with improved aerodynamics and performance upgrades.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is expected to debut next year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
