Audi is prepping to introduce the new 2019 Audi S6, we can confirm seeing it test driving at Nurburgring. A few months back, we received the images of the Audi A6 undergoing testing in Northern Europe, however those images were not clear. This recent S6 prototype gives us a pretty good idea about the car’s exterior design.

In the images, the Audi S6 boasts a low ground clearance and large wheels with low profile tires for a sporty look. The front fascia shares some resemblance with the regular A6, but we can expect to see some changes in the final version. At the back, the quad exhaust tips further enhance the overall look of the new 2019 Audi S6.

Powering the 2019 Audi S6 could be a newly built 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 developed by Porsche. The same engine is also found in the second-generation Porsche Panamera 4S delivering 440 horsepower and 550Nm of torque.

The current Audi S6 carries a much powerful 450 horsepower, 4.0L TFSI V8 engine, but with the weight reduction techniques in the new 2.9L unit, we might see some performance improvements.

Both Audi A6 and S6 are expected to debut sometime next year. The exact date has not been announced by the automaker yet.
