Honda has already revealed a lot about the 10th generation 2018 Honda Accord, and the only thing we had been waiting for was its debut date. The wait is over, as the automaker has announced it will debut on July 14th in Detroit. The debut ceremony will be shown live and can be streamed on YouTube.
In the teaser image revealed by Honda, the 2018 Accord can be seen with sharp headlamps, which slightly resemble the ones found in the Acura, along with a horizontal chrome bar on the grille. The overall design profile seems sporty and sleek.
Honda has also revealed the traditional V6 engine won’t be available anymore in the 2018 Accord. Instead, it will offer a new turbocharged 2.0L l-4 engine borrowed from the Civic Type R. The base model will be powered by a 1.5L turbo four-cylinder engine, while the hybrid variant will carry a 2.0L naturally aspirated unit. The engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual, a CVT or a new 10-speed automatic transmission system.
On the inside, the 2018 Honda Accord is expected to include a high-end infotainment system as well as latest technologies.
The pricing details have not been announced yet. We are also not sure regarding the UAE debut of the sedan.
