The 2017 Honda Clarity electric sedan is hitting the roads this August on exclusive dealerships across California and Oregon. That won’t be hard to keep with $269/month lease.
With the leasing period of 36-months, the buyers will have to make $1,730 down payment. It will also include an annual 20,000-mile allowance and 24/7 roadside assistance.
Powering the 2017 Honda Clarity Electric will be a 25.5-kilowatt-hour battery and an electric motor pumping out 161 horsepower and 221 pounds-feet of torque. Honda claims that the Clarity has an EPA range of 89 miles on a single charge. The EPA fuel economy stands at 126 MPGe (city), 103 MPGe (highway) and 114-MPGe (combined). In terms of electric range, it ranks below other electric vehicles such as Chevrolet Bolt, Volkswagen e-Golf, Hyundai Ioniq EV, Nissan Leaf and more.
The 25.5 kWh battery can be fully recharged in just about three hours with a 240-volt charger. With a DC fast charger, it will take around 30 minutes to charge the electric sedan to 80 percent.
We can’t confirm at the moment when the 2017 Honda Clarity will make its debut here in the Middle East.
