As much as police authorities instruct motorists to drive within the speed limit and be attentive, it seems we are always in a hurry to listen to their advice. A recent accident involving a 41-year old Emirati women was a result of lack of attention which occurred on Sunday at 6:40 pm in Al Jolan area of Ras Al Khaimah. Unfortunately, the woman died in this accident just before breaking fast, while the other car driver received injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Brigadier Dr Mohammad Saeed Al Humaidi, Director General of the Central operations at RAK Police, briefed after the incident that they got a call about a collision and responded instantly. The emergency team reached at the occasion and found the Emirati woman dead.
The accident seemed to occur as one car suddenly entered the road without making sure it is clear and was hit by the other car coming at some speed, which couldn’t be controlled instantaneously.
Brigadier Al Humaidi advised motorists to always be attentive on the road and drive within your speed limits.
