Famous for its luxury and bespoke creations, the British automaker has unveiled Rolls-Royce Sweptail, especially built for an unidentified customer. Boasting the swept-tail design of specific Rolls-Royce cars from 1920s, the luxury car was shown to the public at the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este on Saturday.
The one-off example is perhaps the biggest 2-seater in the world, and was made after years of collaboration with the customer. This really shows the interest of car enthusiasts in the bespoke vehicles.
Not only that, it is reportedly the most expensive car in the world with a price tag of 12.8 million US dollars.
Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars stated, “The arrival of 103EX shone a light on the future of Rolls-Royce in this field, and Sweptail is proof, today, that Rolls-Royce is at the pinnacle of coachbuilding.” “We are listening carefully to our most special customers and assessing their interest in investing in similar, completely exclusive coachbuilt masterpieces,” the CEO cited.
The main feature of Rolls-Royce Sweptail is its continuous glass roof which is the biggest you would have ever seen in a vehicle. It means you feel like sitting in a convertible with plenty of light coming through the glass. Apart from it there are lots of bespoke features inside. We still do not know anything about the powertrain and the performance specs. What we do know is that, it would be one hell of a ride.
