The facelifted Cadillac XTS is scheduled to debut soon and just recently, it has been caught test driving somewhere on a Michigan highway and that too without any covering.

The facelifted Cadillac XTS was caught by GM Inside News reader, Brandon Jason Harris, near the automaker’s Tech Center in Warren, Michigan. The front fascia of the 2018 XTS looks similar to the current Cadillac CT6 model, as it features a horizontal front grille along with the brand’s signature LED headlights.

At the back, the new 2018 XTS boasts a sloping edge designed truck lid, which makes it look less bulky compared to the current model. The L-shaped LED taillights stretch horizontally from the bumper to the trunk.

Not much is known regarding the mechanical updates on the new XTS, but reports indicate the current 304 horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine might be replaced with a sturdier 3.6L V6 unit. The 3.6L twin-turbocharged V6 in the XTS Vsport model might remain the same. Also, the automaker might add an option for a more efficient 9-speed automatic transmission system.

The 2018 Cadillac XTS is expected to make its debut at the upcoming 2017 Beijing Motor Show. It will arrive in the UAE shortly after its launch in the international market.
