The 2018 Renault Mégane RS is scheduled to debut later this year, however it has been leaked online and the rear section of the car is fully visible without any covering.

The images were leaked on a Facebook page called ‘Ferd’, which shows the 2018 Renault Mégane RS parked somewhere at a private event. The Mégane RS is fitted with a uniquely designed trapezoidal exhaust integrated into the rear diffuser along with a sporty rear spoiler.

The new Mégane RS will be a front-wheel drive vehicle and instead of the three-door layout, it will feature a five-door body design. Moreover, it will extend the checkered flag pattern for the LED DRL’s, which is usually found on the Renault Sport Cars.

Powering the 2018 Renault Mégane RS would be a turbocharged in-line four cylinder engine developing 300 horsepower. The engine will be paired with a standard manual transmission system; however a dual-clutch transmission would also be available at an additional cost.

Renault will surely attempt to beat its previous Nürburgring record of 7:54.36 with the new Renault Mégane RS. Currently, the fastest record time is maintained by the 2017 Civic Type R which is 7:43.8.

We cannot confirm at the moment when the new Mégane will arrive in the UAE.
