The Jeep Wrangler Pickup was first caught in the prototype form last year. Back then it hardly revealed anything. However, thanks to the folks at JL Wrangler Forums, their new spy shots give us a pretty good idea how the production model will look like.

Compared to the previous images, the new spy shots show the bed fully prepared as well as the wheels properly fitted in their position. The automaker has not disclosed any powertrain details, but rumors suggest it might carry a 3.6L V6, a 2.0L turbo-four or most probably a diesel engine. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission system.

Moreover, the new Wrangler is expected to employ intelligent weight-cutting down techniques using aluminum body panels. Reports indicate the pickup model will also implement the same craftsmanship.

The Jeep Wrangler Pickup will share some components with the new Jeep Wrangler JL, which is expected to launch this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. The production of the new Jeep Wrangler will start by the end of 2017, and it is reported to arrive in the market by late 2019.
