Following the debut of the Insignia Grand Sport and the Insignia Sport Tourer at the Geneva Auto show this year, the automaker is now all-set to introduce the new 2018 Opel Insignia Country Tourer, which will arrive in the UAE later this year.
The 2018 Opel Insignia Country Tourer crossover will carry a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine sending power to all the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine cranks out 250 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It will ride on the company’s newly built architecture and will be spacious and lighter compared to the outgoing model. Moreover, the interior will encompass a range of latest technologies including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The boot space measures 32.7 cubic feet and can be increased to 73.5 cubic feet by pulling down the rear seats.
The Country Tourer will boast a higher ground clearance of twenty millimeters compared to the Sport Tourer. Besides all-wheel drive capability, it will feature torque vectoring technology and a five-link rear suspension system.
Customers can also customize the vehicle according to their needs, thanks to the ‘Opel Exclusive Concept’, which gives customers a wide range of exterior color options.
The standard safety features include lane change alert, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, rear park assist and more. Customers needing better safety specs can opt for front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert and adaptive cruise control with forward automatic braking.
The official debut will take place at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September
