Supporting the efforts of the UAE government to reduce its carbon footprints, Al-Futtaim Motors, the official Hino distributor in the UAE has launched Hino 300 series light duty hybrid truck, at the Cold Food Chain conference, held at Meydan Hotel Dubai on 5th April.
The Hino 300 series hybrid truck boasts world’s first hybrid diesel engine that is highly environment friendly. The hybrid trucks can be easily modified with mounted chiller body, freezer body and dry cargo box, which make them the perfect option to cater to cold chain and cold storage industries.
The first hybrid truck of UAE houses a 4.0L diesel unit assisted by an emission-free auxiliary electric motor, which helps it curb CO2, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide emissions. Besides, these trucks come with low maintenance cost and enhanced fuel economy thanks to the latest facilities like idle stop, Regenerative braking, Easy Start and take-off assist, and Diesel particulate active reduction filter.
According to Ramez Hamdan, Acting MD of Hino at Al-Futtaim Motors, the UAE market has seen a surge in the demand of light duty trucks in the past 3 years, and to help government attain its environmental goals, we have introduced the Hino 300 series light duty hybrid truck.
