At the 3-day job fair, held at Dubai World Trade Center, police used a robot to carry out interviews of job seekers for Dubai Police.

Dubbed as Saeed Al Farhan, the robot worked independently with some human aid and reduced the interview time to a few minutes. Saeed Al Farhan attracted a number of candidates especially youngsters for interviews. Separate queues for men and women made sure that women could also participate in the interview.

The interview consisted of 5 steps;

  • Candidates filled out a form to receive Police Clearance Certificate that implied they did not have any criminal record.
  • Personality and psychology assessment smart exam was carried out.
  • One-to-one interview with the robot.
  • Health Exam of the candidates after they passed the interview.
  • After clearing the health exam, candidates filled a smart survey comprising of 17 questions.

Dubai Police hired 23 people on the first day of the fair with an announcement earlier that they plan to fill 146 vacancies in total.
