Just a few days back, we brought the news that the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is all-set make a public appearance and it will be the most powerful production SUV ever. The automaker has finally introduced the new SUV at the New York Auto Show and it definitely knocks the Bentley Bentayga off its perch.
Powering the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine which spits out 707 horsepower and 875 Nm of torque. With this robust engine, the Trackhawk can go from stationary to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph. Additionally, the quarter mile time is just 11.6 seconds, thanks to the heavy-duty supercharger.
Besides a powerful engine, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is fitted with huge 15.75-inch Brembo brakes, a sturdy rear axle, quad exhaust pipes, a phenomenal suspension system and a cold air scoop. The power is delivered to the wheels through the eight-speed automatic transmission system.
Besides the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, we also saw other SUVs at the show including the Lincoln Navigator, the Mercedes AMG GLC 63 and 63 S, and a few more, but none of them is as powerful as the Trackhawk.
Jeep has not yet announced the pricing details, but we know it will arrive in the international markets later this year. Seeing the love of Emiratis for powerful SUVs, the Trackhawk should arrive here by the end of this year.
