The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek SUV made its global debut a few months back at the Geneva Auto Show. It is now ready for its U.S launch and will be up for display at the 2017 New York Auto Show.
The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek rides on the automaker’s new global platform, which boasts 70 percent more rigid body structure. The key exterior components include a new hexagonal front grille, hawk-eye headlights and large wheels. The overall structure appears to be aggressive and bold, thanks to the sharp character lines.
It will be powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission system, which offers 152 horsepower. The customers can also opt for the continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters, which also includes a drive-mode selector for different landscapes.
The wheelbase has been increased by 1.2 inch to 104.9 inches, which means the SUV now has an increased interior and storage space. The new Crosstrek will also offer advanced safety features including lane departure system, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot alert with lane assist, rear-cross traffic alert, automatic pre-collision braking, sway warning and more. Moreover, it incorporates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality.
We currently don’t know when the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will launch in the UAE. Stay tuned to know about this.
