Renault’s official Facebook page has just reached one million likes, and to celebrate this, the automaker has revealed a teaser image of the all-new 2017 Renault Megane RS.
About a month ago, the 2017 Renault Megane RS mule was caught testing somewhere on the roads of Sweden, however, it was wearing a heavy disguise. Nevertheless, we came to know that the Megane RS will feature an aggressive body with new chequered-pattern LED lights fitted low on the front bumper, twin exhaust pipes and large wheels.
The powertrain will include a turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing more than 300 horsepower and paired with a dual-clutch transmission system. It won’t be available with an all-wheel drive system, but would feature a four-wheel steering system.
With the launch of 2017 Megane RS, Renault will target the Ford Focus RS and the Golf R models as well as the Honda Civic Type R.
Although, Renault has not revealed the exact date for the debut, but we believe it will most likely take place at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The car will go on sale sometime in 2018. The automaker has not yet disclosed whether the 2017 Renault Megane RS will launch in the UAE.
