The 2018 BMW 2-Series Active Tourer has recently been caught testing on the roads of Germany. It seems the car features most of the updates on the front including bumpers and headlights.

The revised BMW 4-Series, which was recently launched, featured new LED daytime running lights and LED indicators. So, it appears the 2018 BMW 2-Series Active Tourer will also offer similar enhancements.

Talking about the interior, it will boast the latest version of the BMW iDrive infotainment system along with additional driving assist functions such as adaptive cruise control and parking assist.

No powertrain updates have been reported yet, however, the spied model was equipped with a 225xe M Sport hybrid powertrain. This plug-in hybrid powertrain went on sale just last year and it featured a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-3 cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox on the front and electric motors at the back. A similar powertrain is also found in the BMW i8 Sports car, but in the reverse order.
