The 11th International Summit for the Best Police Applications looked regal for Dubai this year. The Dubai Police’s Bugatti Veyron, one of the majestic sports cars, has been declared the fastest police car by the Guinness Book of World Records. Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, accepted the Guinness certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records last Monday.
Previously, USA had been enjoying the claim of having the fastest police car with its 360 kmph Lamborghini. However, with the Bugatti Veyron that can reach 407 kmph speed, the record for being the world’s most luxurious and the fastest police car came rattling toward Dubai.
Since Dubai is one of the most toured cities of the world thanks to its fantastic and state-of-the-art tourist sites that bring in more and more tourists every year, the maintenance of security tends to become a concern at times.
With tourist sites, such as, the Burj Khalifa, JBR and the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard to be monitored throughout the day, Dubai Police felt the need to upgrade its staff with robots and heighten the interest of tourists about cars. The Dubai Police already has McLaren MP4-12C, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari FF, Mercedes SLS AMG, Roush Mustang, Bentley Continental GT, Audi R8 V01 Plus, Aston Martin One-77, Nissan GTR, Mercedes SL36 AMG, BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes G36 AMG included in its patrolling fleet to name a few.
