Al-Futtaim Motors, the official distributors of Toyota in the UAE for over 60 years, has donated the Emirate Wildlife Society EWS-WWF NGO a new Toyota Prius to help them achieve their goals of lower carbon emissions.
The Toyota Prius is the world’s most popular petrol-electric car which can propel entirely using engine power or the electric motor. To achieve better fuel efficiency and low carbon emissions, it can also use a combination of both petrol and electricity.
The managing director of Toyota UAE, Saud Abbasi said he was extremely happy on this donation. It would make the environment greener and would help achieve UAE’s environmental goals for 2021.
The Toyota Prius has been hailed as one of the most environmentally friendly vehicles of recent times. Tanzeed Alam, the climate and energy director at EWS-WWF stated that not only would the use of this car reduce carbon emissions but will also save fuel cost.
