The official images of the facelifted 2018 Hyundai Sonata have been revealed by the automaker and it seems the mid-sized sedan is set to arrive soon.

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata has also been spied previously a couple of times wearing a heavy disguise. The sketches show that the front fascia will adopt an aggressive profile with a large cascading grille, sleep headlamps and sharp character lines on the hood. The LED daytime running lights are also found integrated into the bumper. At the back, the taillights have been upgraded, and a quad exhaust system can also be seen.

The automaker has not disclosed anything regarding the powertrain, but reports suggest a new 260 horsepower, 2.0L turbo engine will be introduced, which will replace the current 2.0L turbo unit that pumps out 245 horsepower.

Hyundai will launch Sonata in two trim levels; a standard version and a turbo variant. Although the facelifted models usually don’t come with a lot of upgrades, but Hyundai states the upcoming Sonata will have impressive enhancements including latest technologies to give the sedan a new look and feel.
