We all find ourselves in an awkward position when we believe we got a wrong parking fine and we can’t do anything about it. Well, this has just changed as the Integrated Transport Center at the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) in Abu Dhabi now allows you to challenge the parking ticket.
For this purpose, DMAT has empowered Parking Division Grievance Committee to cater to all grievances. However, you must raise the objection within the 15 days of the ticket issuance.
If you want to challenge your parking fine, simply visit any Mawaqif Customer Care Center and complete the grievance form.
The move is in line to develop the transport infrastructure in the Emirate and was initiated after slashing of the parking fines. For instance, illegally parking in bus and taxi bays now fines you only Dh 500 (previously it was Dh 1,000).
