Last year, the British luxury automaker revealed the prototype of 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante and now it has been caught testing somewhere in Sweden.
As we look at the design, the 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante features a soft-top roof, thus taking less space compared to the retractable hard-top. Moreover, the soft-top roof is going to be lightweight, so it won’t damage the car’s aerodynamics. The aeroblade will also be modified and will work alongside the new pair of intakes to maximize the aerodynamics. Toward the front, a new grille is also expected.
Besides the new roof and few other enhancements, the Aston Martin DB11 Volante looks almost similar to the DB11 coupe with the same interior features created using aluminum and carbon fiber.
Powering the 2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante will be a standard twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V-12 unit churning out 600 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet of torque. However, a biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine is also expected, as it was running in the prototype.
The official debut will most likely take place later this year or in early 2018. The pricing details have not been disclosed yet, but it will most definitely be higher than the coupe’s $211,995 price tag. The UAE premier will take place shortly after its arrival in the international market.
