According to a BMW spokesperson, they are all set to launch a special edition BMW M2, which is already up for ordering at some dealerships and is going to be announced officially next week.
The special edition BMW M2 will be carrying a 3.0L turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine, producing up to 365 horsepower. It will most likely use the M Driver’s package along with M Performance parts including an upgraded exhaust system with titanium tips. It could attain the top speed of 168 mph.
On the outside, we can expect to see sporty details such as an Alpine White body paint along with black colored exterior components including the signature kidney grille, side gills and the mirror caps.
The special edition BMW M2 will come with fewer luxury equipment inside. Reports suggest that it will include a single-zone climate control system, regular seats with no power adjusting function, basic keyless entry system and a standard audio system. Moreover, the smoker’s package will also be removed.
The special edition BMW M2 is expected to cost around $61,695 including destination and the production will be limited to just 150 units. More details will be uncovered in the next week.
