The news regarding the Lamborghini Urus has been circulating since 2012, but no one had seen it. This has been changed, as we have finally caught the SUV testing somewhere in Europe in its pre-production form. Although, the spy shots don’t reveal much, but we still get a rough idea how it will look like from the front and the sides.
In terms of shape, the Lamborghini Urus looks almost similar to the concept model revealed in 2012, however, the front fascia resembles the recently revealed 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S. The headlights appear to be same, but the front air intakes are considerably smaller than the concept model.
Toward the sides, the wheel arches also look similar to the concept version, but appear to be smaller in size. The side mirrors are completely different though and the car features roof rails on top.
It will ride on the same platform as the Audi Q7 and will be powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine. A hybrid engine will be added in the lineup too.
The automaker is reportedly starting the Lamborghini Urus production in April this year. It will hit the dealerships sometime in 2018.
The official debut is expected to take place at the Geneva Motor Show this year along with the Lamborghini Huracan Performante.
