RTA’s online auction gives Dubai motorists a chance to avail up to 320 unique vehicle-licensing plates. The 46th online auction will last for five days commencing on February 19 at 8am after the registrations complete today. The Vehicles Licensing Department of RTA is providing bidders with plates carrying H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, and S codes.
Sultan Al Marzouqi (Director of Vehicles Licensing, RTA Licensing Agency) elaborated the registration process saying that registration can either be done by signing-in on RTA’s official portal or by visiting RTA’s Customer Happiness Center in Dubai to ask for the staff support to complete the registration.
An important point to remember is that an applicant must have a Dubai-issued driving license or an automobile registered in Dubai for taking part in the auction. The participant has to pay a security deposit of Dh 5,000 (refunded after the auction is closed) and a participation cost of Dh 120 via credit card or a cheque written to RTA.
Al Marzouqi further stated that the objective of RTA’s online auction is to raise the quality of handling public transactions.
