It is now confirmed that renowned electric car manufacturer Tesla is set to debut in the Middle East region. The American company’s administration has announced that it will soon inaugurate Tesla UAE dealership. A launch event will be held at the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa on 13th February. Invites for the event have already been dispatched.

We also came to know that the founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk will also attend the launch event. He will be present at the 5th edition of the World Government Summit as well, which is scheduled for 12th February.

Tesla UAE has already advertized job positions for its upcoming service center in Dubai. Posts of service advisor, service manager and service technician are currently open on their website.

The UAE already has Tesla cars on its roads, thanks to residents who love owning a Tesla. This means the brand already has a small consumer base in the country, which should help in easing the pressure of entering a new market.

Sales of Tesla cars are expected to soar in the near future, as Dubai government has already initiated campaigns to promote the usage of hybrid and electric vehicles.

Last year, Dubai government announced that they will make sure 10% of vehicles they use to perform official duties are either EVs or hybrids. This move is part of the Dubai Green Mobility Initiative.

Additionally, Dubai Water And Electric Authority has installed roughly 100 ‘Green Charger Stations’ throughout the Emirate to promote the usage of EVs.
