Just yesterday, the spy shots of the 2018 McLaren 720S (P14) surfaced on the internet and now the supercar has been leaked completely undisguised.
The image was leaked by the famous Instagram user ‘Lamborghiniks’. The design is stunning and attractive. The side profile shows opening for large air vents, while the front shows triangular headlight slots.
The 2018 McLaren 720S will be the first member of the new McLaren Super Series and also the first of the 15 cars planned to launch under the McLaren Track22 business plan, which was revealed last year at the Geneva Auto Show.
It will adopt the new carbon fiber monocoque structure known as the ‘Monocage II’, which is specifically designed to keep the weight low as well as improve the rigidity and stiffness compared to the MonoCell structure currently being used in McLaren cars.
Powertrain will most probably be a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V8 pumping out 720 horsepower. A new 4.0L V8 unit might also arrive in future and will be used with the new modular hybrid system.
The 2018 McLaren 720S will make its official debut in March at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show. Till then we might get to see more leaks and spy shots of the super car.
