The super attractive Vanquish S coupe was previewed by the automaker last year at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show and now the convertible variant of the same car known as the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante has been revealed.
It is powered by a 580 hp 5.9L V-12 engine which is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission system. Aston Martin states the 8-speed gearbox has been specifically tuned for the Vanquish S for quicker gear shifting and enhanced performance.
The automaker has not revealed performance statistics for the Vanquish S Volante, but we believe it will be able to hit 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 201 mph just like other Vanquish S coupes. The Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante will feature improved aerodynamics and an upgraded suspension system along with a revised exhaust system.
The body panels of the Vanquish S convertible will be made from carbon fiber and aluminum to keep the overall weight low. The cabin will offer exclusive leather seats with ‘Vanquish S’ label stitched on the headrest and carbon fiber dash accents.
Both Aston Martin Vanquish S Coupe and Vanquish S Volante are expected to hit the showrooms in April. The starting price for the coupe variant will be $294,950. The pricing for the convertible has not been announced yet.
