911 Carrera S The upcoming 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has broken the record set by previous 911 Carrera GTS and the current 911 Carrera S by finishing the Nürburgring-Nordschliefe’s 12.9 mile long lap in just 7 minutes 26 seconds.

The 991.2 generation of 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS carries a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-6 engine good for 450 horsepower. That is extra 30 hp than the Carrera S featuring the same engine. With the added power, the Carrera GTS could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, making it 0.3 second faster than the Carrera S. The automaker also tried the Carrera GTS on Nürburgring with the track-oriented Pirelli P-Zero Corsa N0 tires and managed to achieve an even better lap time, thanks the improved grip of 7:22.

Porsche has also installed additional modifications on the new Carrera GTS such as a wider body frame, new 20-inch center-lock wheels, and will also come with the Sport Chrono Package as standard.

The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is expected to arrive in Canada during the second quarter of 2017. The starting price would be $136,000.
